HTC Arrive - XBOX Live Gaming Device

This hefty little creator is hefty for a reason. Not only can you play XBOX games but you can keep the gamerpoints! The phone is a little heavy for a medium sized phone, it weights 6.49 oz while the average is 4.5 oz. It has a slide out Qwerty board with a tilt screen which makes it easy to edit your Microsoft documents on the go. Talk and play time is limited with only 6 hours but that’s not to bad compared the average phone having 7 hours. The camera is okay, being 5 megapixels and having a LED light, but it does the job! The speakers seem too loud for the little sound holes given to them and it sounds like the speaker is about to break. You can’t quietly listen to music at work in your cubicle because the volume is loud, even on one.

My father wanted this phone but had to go to a Adriod because it support Quickbooks. He is not a very technical person with computers but he has cell phones down pat. He liked interface and that navigation was smooth and easy. He loved the Qwerty board and virtual keyboard with its “Predictive” text.

Being a gamer, I was unhappy that I had to have a Live e-mail account connected to my XBOX Live account in order to connect my player information. I put in my generic e-mail, which I had on XBOX Live and it gave me a random player number. I had to reset the phone which lost all my non-Facebook contacts. So be sure go to a desktop and create a Live e-mail then go to your XBOX and update your new e-mail in order for it to work correctly.

Playing games is fun on Arrive but those silly Back, Windows, and Search touch buttons are always in the way. If you accidentally touch one while gaming you will have to load the entire game again (not fun.) I have looked for cases that had a small bar to separate the screen from the touch buttons, but not luck so far.

There is no MicroSD slot but if you create a Live account you have plenty of place to load picture and music on the internet and the retrieve it from your desk top.

Zune is great! For $15.00 you get all you want music and stuff; you also get 10 free song downloads a month, making the monthly reoccurring cost disappear for an avid music buyer.

The only thing that I think I would change is the Navigation screen. It lacks customization. No background picture. You can change the color of the block and what position they are in, but that is it.

I give this phone 4.3 starts! It’s my baby!

Abortion and Child Support

The video in this link http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=62689 is about a Police Department luring parents who have warrants out for their arrest. They lure the parents by sending them a letter informing them that they have won tickets to a sports game and that they have to come get the tickets in person with a valid proof of identity. The police have a very well thought out scheme and play their acting roll in luring the parent into the back room in order to arrest them.

The first question has been asked. Is this entrapment? No, they have already committed a crime. Entrapment is when police set you up to commit a crime so they can arrests you.

As I read through the comments one stuck out more then the rest.

All About Ferrets! So You Wanta Ferret?

Well, we moved into our new apartment which doesn’t allow Ferrets and our new dog Conner wants to nom on them, so now we have to find them a new home. I am demanding that my boyfriend, Chris, be very picky when selling them. Not because I am a snobby Ferret mommy, but because I know that Ferrets are not for me, despite how cute, playful and funny they are. This blog will go over what Ferrets are like as pets and what they need from you in order to be happy little animals.

Electronic Music (The BEST Office Music)

What is Electronic music? Wikipedia tells us that it is music that employs electronic musical instruments and electronic music technology in its productions.

Forms of electronic music are Ambient, Breakbeat, Chiptune, Disco, Downtempo, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Electro, Electronica, Eurodance, Hardcore dance, House, Industrial, Post-disco, Progressive, Techno, Trance, UK garage and dozens of sub forms underneath each of them.

     Many of you are like me, we sit behind a desk and look at the same information day-in and day-out. It becomes monotonous. To break the monotonous of it we listen to music to heighten our brain activity with the rhythmic beats and their catchy lyrics. I love to listen to regular vocals and beats that are popular to today’s younger society, but I find myself to into the beat and lyrics to break away from my desk when needed. I will also sing along with the lyrics in my head which prevents me from giving one hundred percent concentration to what is at hand.

    In the past I have stayed clear away from Electronic music because I thought that it only consisted of Techno. But as you read, the different forms of electronic music are abundant, from chill to hardcore! So electronic music has everything plus more that you could even imagine letting your ear’s taste. I prefer dubstep and chillstep because both have good beats; dubstep is more intense and gets you moving, while chill steps gives you a beat but more of one that you can concentrate more with.

     Listening to electronic music at work has saved me from getting bored of the music that I listen to at home and during exercising. That is great for me since I am constantly listening to the same 600 songs on a regular basis. Since I enjoy my older music more, I am more apt to do more chores more quickly and not think about how hard it is to run and concentrate on the lyrics and beat of the music.

    My favorite electronic music so far is Dubstep, you can go to www.soundcloud.com or www.youtube.com and search for any of the electronic music’s sub-genres. Dubstep has a lot of vocal clips from tv, movies and popular songs; they can be hyper sounding, evil sounding or just plain funny!

Gaming: Dsi Art Academy Review

     I have been spending a lot of my gaming time playing with the first semester of Art Academy on the DSi. Art Academy is basically a art course that you can do whenever and where ever, and you can fix your drawing/and painting mistakes, unlike an actually canvas! You learn everything from texturing, shading and all the basic artist terms. You can follow the instructions or you can paint your own random painting in the “Free Paint” mode.

   This DSi Ware is amazing! It feels like you are an actual artist! Everything is very detailed, the pencil makes thin lines or shading area; when you paint the paint it is not continuous and actually mixes with the other colors already used. You can also add water to you brush to make the color more transparent. There is also a grid to help you draw from pictures already on your DSi, as well as different ways to view you photo so you know where you need to go with your paining when you are doing it.

   I have created SEVERAL pictures now and I can’t wait to get my computer up and running so I can put them on the computer and show everyone! As a beginner painter, I think that this will let me actually draw and paint what I want and how I want so that when I go to the actual canvas I will know what to do.

   If anybody is slightly in to drawing or painting you SHOULD get this! It is my favorite game so far for the DSi!

My White-Trashed Move (Tips on Moving Homes)

Dear Apartments,

     I am sorry for the way I left my apartment. I did not hire enough help nor did I have enough stamina and vigor to do this move as I have had in the past. I know the apartment is messy and on top of my hast to make it out of the apartment on time, I forget to retrieve all my food (which wasn’t much.) Please have pity on me, this moving weekend has been a whirl of emotions and action. My boyfriend had to go to the ER which prolonged our move greatly. The emotions of him being in the ER took a toll on me physically and emotionally and therefore took a toll on a proper move-out.

I am sorry, please bill.

For my readers, some moving tips that I didn’t use:

Start Early – I am a procrastinator when it comes to moving and like that rush of doing things fast ( that leave no room for error or the ER)

Date it – Put on a calendar what room is going to be packed on which day

Rent your truck ahead of time –  We almost didn’t get a truck. It was spring and last weekend of the month. Luckily we did.

Pack a Suitcase – From near move out date to 3 days after move. So you have everything you need to function when everything is packed.
